Hey guys and gals!

The zipper on my awning bag will not easily close. The teeth separate as I am zipping it closed. Last trip was 45 minutes to close it. Gain 5 inches, lose a few. The bag is 6 years old but like new. I washed the teeth off with a hose and that did remove a lot of dirt. It did not solve the problem. Any suggestions? The teeth all look the same i.e. straight.

Try using some paraffin wax on the zipper, and inspect the closing part of the zipper to make sure the gap is not bent. If that doesn't help, a new zipper can be installed by any awning shop and some patio stores.

I just had a problem opening mine. A little silicone spray on the zipper and it opened right up.

As Martlet said, lubrication will help (Even bath soap)

However if it's six years old a new zipper may be in order
