I make this often for potlucks so easy, good and never have any leftovers! I make it in an oval shaped glass baking dish for a pretty presentation.
No Bake Cherry custard cake

1 prepared Angel Food Cake (10 inches)
1 1 oz package sugar free instant vanilla pudding mix
1 1/2 cups milk ( 2 %)
1 cup light sour cream
21 oz can light cherry pie filling

Tear the angel food cake into bite size pieces. Press into an 11 X 7
inch baking dish
In a mixing bowl, combine the pudding mix, milk and light sour cream.
Beat until thickened, about 2 minutes. Spread over cake.
Spoon the cherry pie filling evenly over the top of the cake. Chill
thoroughly until serving time. Makes
12 servings

Note:I sometimes use instant lemon pudding mix and blueberry pie
filling-don't know which one is better!

I am not too much into desserts, but what's in that recipe not to love! It is printing as I type!

Thanks! I'll try it on my guests next weekend!

I also printed the recipe. At Publix they have the sugar free angel food cake and I think I might try that in this recipe.

Yummy sounding, we'll have to try it at our next potluck. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

I make the same thing but use two packages of the pudding mix and whipped topping instead of sour cream. I keep thinking I should try a blueberry pie filling but in 20+ years of making it, I have got no further than thinking I should.

Dianne please clarify your recipe for me. You say 1 4 oz pkg sugar free instant vanilla pudding mix. Sugar free comes in a 1 ounce box and the larger box is 2 ounces. Do you mean 1 4 serving box?

I would also like to know what size of pudding you use. Thank you....This really sounds good.

Yes,sorry it is the 1 oz (4 serving size)or at least that is what I've always used! I copied the recipe exactly from the old newpaper clipping I've had for years, never noticed this before!I will correct my op. Sorry for any confusion!
