I am shopping by internet for (4) Interstate U2200 6-volt batteries to replace my coach batteries.

I am in Southern California and the local RS supply store wants $139.00 each and $90.00/hour to replace them. Dealer wants $145.00 each and $110.00 to replace them.

I can't find any batteries on Walmart/Costco/Sam's Club websites.

If anyone has purchased them recently, can you tell me what you paid? And can anyone suggest where I might find them?

Thanks

I was just quoted about the same price for the u 2200 batteries in NC. They wanted about $125 each at the Interstate store. It looks like everyone is charging 1 hour minimum these days for labor. I installed them myself a few years ago. Very heavy and fit in a tight spot. I understand that the Interstate stores carry an "econo" version. They might be refurbish at a substantially less cost. You might want to check your area to see if there is a location near you.

Best of luck!

When I bought my 8D battery ins April...the 6V golf cart batterys were $68 each at my local Sams! I suggest you forget the internet and drive to the nearest Sams.

Costco here in Raleigh, carries a 6V golf cart deep cycle battery made by interstate that may be the lower priced one mentioned in an earlier post above. About $60 IIRC. I have two U2200's and two of the Costco's in my coach and can't see any difference in their performance.

I bought 4 from Sam's about a year ago $60ish each. They don't show them on the web site, store only. Easy to replace yourself, just label all the wires, and even better if you have a digital camera, take pictures!

I bought mine at Range RV in Victorville, Calif. for $150.00, but I intalled them myself. It is easy to install the batteries. Turn the two main switches off and disconnect one at a time, then install that one battery, then go to the next. Don't try taking them all off at once because you might hook them up wrong. It takes about thirty minutes.

I got a quote on U2200s in Harlingen Tx last April, about 3 months ago, for $89 each, T105s were $90 each. Wonder why the big difference in prices?

As I understand it Costco has recently switched to Johnson Controls (Excide) batteris, Sams has been using them for years

However they used to carry US-Battery US-220's and those are, near as I can tell, identical to the Interstate,, Right down to the quality (Even the part number is close)

By the way it's U-220, not U-2200

I'm not a fan of Johnson Controls batteries. Never had much luck with 'em myself

According to the Interstate web site and the labels on my Interstate batteries it is U-2200 as the OP stated.

Costco in so cal sells an excellent golf battery that I believe is made by US Battery same as the U2200. Price is about $75.

They are not on the website because they cannot be shipped by any standard method.

You can find them in the tire department, call first.
