Mine retracted very slowly. I tried the Manual jack and it didn't work. I pushed the glide in as someone else had the switch engaged. Dealer said Battery was weak. Relaced Battery. It works fine now.

On the hose and fitting end, it probably wouldn't be to expensive to buy an extra hose or two just to have on hand. Chances are the fittings "may" loosen but not break unless the hoses get caught on something and jerks one out.
This happened to us last Labor Day Weekend with our new Teton. The bedroom slide would not retract; the motor definitely was running but no movement. (Teton's are all hydraulic with no manual option.) It took three of us to manually shove it back in. Dealer found that a bolt had sheared off the shaft that is driven by the motor so it was not a hydraulic problem but mechanical part failure. Not sure how many people it would take to manually move in the other bigger slides!
