Everyone, most everyone, seems to have those shirt closets mounted on each side at the head of the bed. They always seem a little too long for shirts and not long enough for some other things and most seem to be deeper towards the bottom in the back. Wanting to maximize the space in these, I bought two hanging sweater racks and put all our folded shirts, pants, etc. in these but problem is that there is still that wasted space way in the back towards the bottom. Has anyone made a mode to these shirt closets to fully maximize the space in there?

I hang shirts in mine, pile up shorts under the shirts and put socks in the back

Mesh bag for dirty clothes and camping shoes. Thank goodness my other 2 closets are full length. That shelving idea is awesome. Was it easy?

Generally hang shirts, blouses, slacks, etc in them If it is too tall, add a shelf or put shoes in the bottom.

Made one into a whiskey closet and the other was my "crafts stash" closet.
