Just curious if anyone uses their "B" as their only or primary vehicle. Any regrets or benefits? Having both a Excel and a SUV, I can see it being useful having just one vehicle that combines the benefit of both (Roadtrek 170/190 or Lexor).

I'm looking for the responses to this question too. I have considered making mine my primary vehicle because work is only 2 miles from home, but I really enjoy my 2003 Honda CRV too and would hate to part with it. However, it sure would be nice to have the money I could get out of selling my CRV.

My Great West Van is my primary vehicle, although I also have access sometimes to a Honda Fit. I love the van for running errands, shopping ,etc., when I'm going to several places. My own bathroom, refrigerator for lunch and snacks, etc.

I have a 2002 Roadtrek 190p and it has been my primary vehicle since I bought it. My wife doesn't drive and we have no need for an additional vehicle to worry about, pay insurance on, maintenance etc.
We are retired and don't have to commute, which is nice. Around town I keep my water tanks pretty empty to keep the weight down and we try and not drive it much. Its relativly easy to maneuver except in small parking lots - it doesn't turn sharp enough. When dear wife wants to go shopping, I drive her, but I hang out aboard and relax. The reefer is good to hold food when we go shopping too.

We are currently on a 2 month trip to Oregon and North California and stop in at a library to check email. A different place every night and never in a campground (so far). Its also nice to plug in at my daughters place and visit for a while.

My Sprinter is my daily driver. I have a motorcycle, but that is strictly recreational.

I had not planned on using my Sprinter LTV as a primary vehicle; BUT.....
It gets 24 MPG around town and is as agile in traffic as my Trooper; my Trooper gets 15MPG. My Mazda MX5 gets 24MPG around town as well and is super-agile, but carries only one passenger and little cargo. So the LTV has become the default vehicle for all purposes; particularly my frequent trips to Lowes for remodeling supplies.

We have an LTV Sprinter 210B which we are now using as our only vehicle. We do travel most of the summer but when home in South Florida in the winter we used it as our only vehicle. The milage is great.

Thanks... Sue & George Spahn

I also have a new SUV in my garage that I use just to carry my Kayaks around on, but my Roadtrek is our daily driver and we love it, we just got back from a two week trip in my B-plus ( which we didn't think we would keep) but it turned out the its a better RV for us ( two of us ) when we are out for a few weeks than the Roadtrek.
But to answer your question , the Roadrek makes a great daily driver for us.

My roll-your-own "Class B" is the one and only here now that I gave my pickup away to daughater and son-in-law vbuilding a home in Virginia. This is a single person writing.

One quickly seen factor is the reduction of expenses for fuel, maintenance and insurance. Second is focus on just one rather than more-than-one vehicle for keeping clean and serviced. But thirdly, and perhaps mostly, is the delight in making a Wal-Mart run and stuffing some of what I bought into appropriate places in the van to replenish supplies and make it soooo easy to pull out for anywhere any-when.

We spend four months at our summer place. We are using our B as our primary vehicle. We decided to use it instead of our SUV mainly because of transporting our five cats from PA to DE last month. Over the weekend, it came in handy for day tripping with our company. Today we went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast, shopped at Walmart, loaded up 8 bags of mulch and 2 bags of topsoil at Lowes, and stopped on the way home for groceries. Hubby says he'd rather drive it than our car. It also comes in handy as an extra room while here. Our grandkids love that!
