I am taking the granddaughters camping next week. I'll be sure to pick up a box of Twinkies.

Something else to try. When we were kids my mom would get a can of biscuits - you know the pop-open cans. You take a single one, stretch it out or roll it lightly into a rope. Wrap around a stick, (yes,we always used sticks for marshmallows and these- a thicker stick for this)) and roast over the coals until nice and browned. It doesn't take long. Slide it off the stick and fill with grape jelly - or your favorite. Eat while warm. They are heavenly. I haven't done it in years but I have to soon. You just use a spoon to drop the jelly in, a table knife would work too.

Steve B, I was thinking of doing the biscuits! My mother used to have melted butter in one bowl and cinnamon sugar in the other. When cooked, dip in butter, dip in sugar--homemade donuts!

Must go camping soon. Twinkies, smores, homemade donuts...drooling thinking about it!!!
