I've had my camper on a number of sites for sale, but haven't had any bites. Can't say I'm surprized with the way fuel prices are right now. Anyway, I was sitting on the porch this morning staring at it, and I started to visualize it as a trailer or pontoon boat. I already have two guest bedrooms, so I don't see it as a guest house. If I could design a pull trailer to sit it on, I could give it to my kids to pull. They don't have a truck heavy enough to carry it, and can't afford to buy one. So....any ideas? Anyone ever design a trailer for one of these? Lots of issues, such as center of gravity, etc.etc. Its realy too nice of a rig just to sit in the barn. Anyone seen plans for a tandem trailer setup? I paid over 30k for this and it's loaded with everything. Since we bought our travel trailer to take the grand kids with us, we just don't forsee using the camper anymore.

About all you need to do is set it on a flatbed trailer and tie it down then build from the deck up to the outside edge. If you look @ my profile you can see what the sides would look like, then just project it forward to go under where the cab section is.

My feet are fine as long as they are traveling.

Before I went to the time and effort to convert it to a trailer, I think I would go check with your area RV Dealerships and see about trading it in for an actual lightweight trailer or even a pop-up. Your Kids would probably feel like a specticle pulling in to a campground in something as "unique" as a converted truckcaper on wheels

There was thread awhile back about this. The guys put the camper on the front half of a trailer, then used the back half as a toy hauler.

Some of the setups where really neat.

Yea, I thought about how it might look, but if it was done right, especialy with the toy hauler idea, it might be a lot less expensive than trading it in. A decent flat bed and some aluminum work on the skirts could doll it up. Anybody have some pictures from someone that did this?

Call me a redneck (after all I am from Arkansas) but the trail idea is cool I think. If it was done right it could be made to look pretty nice. Imagine how much storage you could have to with compartments built under the front and both sides. Then if it was put on a trailer long enough to haul a 4 wheeler or golfcart on the rear. WOW where I come from that would be better than new tires on a mobile home!!!
Who cares what others think, if they don't like what you have then they don't have to look. As long as you aren't hurting anyone else. Life is to short to worry about what others think.
HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lots of possibilities for mounting a TC on a trailer. You can mount it forward and have the rear for toys. Mount it further back and make the area under the cab-over and sides into storage. Shoot, if it's tall enough, the area under the cab-over could be used as a covered patio.

There was one on a trailer last year at Melvern Lake, Kansas, the back half of trailer was a porch with railings around the edges. He said some lakes he would back it to the edge of the lake and sit on the porch and fish. He did a very nice job in building it.

Or, post it on craigslist, that is where I sold mine. Good luck either way!
