No, I am just saying before buying everyone needs to understand what they are buying, that means reading all of the fine print, not what the salesman tells you. In your first post you mentioned a slide out pump, does your warranty cover it if it fails because of a bad seal? Good Sam's warranty will not cover seals or hoses or almost anything that is a common problem.

Hey Firemedic...I sleep at night knowing that I didn't get ripped off from some dealer and/or insurance company policy that must have cost a fortune and may never pay out to my satisfaction. I'd MUCH rather have that money sitting in my bank or in my mattress...anywhere but in those thieves' pockets.

NONE! Do as they say put your money in the bank. RV dealerships sell warranty knowing they will not be paid out at least if you have in in the bank you have something to fall back on when something breaks and you can find a "COMPETENT" place to get it fix unlike some places.

Give DiMartini RV in Grass Valley, CA a call for a quote on the Monaco extended warranty. They offer the same one that all Monaco dealers offer, but at the best price I have found. I think they quoted me around $2,400 for a 6 year, 50,000 mile policy for my 07 Diplomat.

I would stay away from Phoenix American. They have not acted in good faith in resolving claims.

We use Assurance. Excellent service and payout. Don't let people on her discourage your purchase. Just watchout what you pay for one. We paid $2,700 for ours and it is a better policy than the one Lazy Days quoted me. A power steering pump on a diesel will cost you $2,400 installed, I know. Plus some other things they did I have all my money back & they still have to take care of me for 3 more years. DO NOT LET YOUR WARRANTY RUN OUT BEFORE PURCHASING!! You can wait awhile. Shop around.

Look at this one, have had very good service with only one denial, which, if I had read the book, I would have known about.
Route 66
They've covered furnace blower and thermostat, rebuild of Onan generator (big $$$$), replacement convertor charger, repair of steps and one HWH jack. Total cost to me, other than plan cost, was < $200.
Would I recommend it for a new unit... No, but for an older used MH, you bet.
