We were just up at Elkhart and visited their upstairs library at the RV/MH Hall of Fame. They may have use for them!

And I thought I was the only one who saved every issue. I've been thinking about going through each of the new ones as they come in and if there is an article of any interest, scanning it into the external hard drive so they can be retrieved at a later date if I need them. Then i can start to recycle them.

Do you know someone who is interested in the RV lifestyle that may want to read them ? That's what I do with my old issues.

wagonmaster2 wrote: Glad I'm not the only one with this problem. Mine aren't back as far as 1993 but I just keep thinking there may be an answer to a future problem in one of them. But boy are they taking up lots of space in the garage. Between Motorhome, Highways, and FMCA, I have boxes of magazines. Guess the recycling depot will be the answer.

So should I continue to save them, donate them to a library or simply recycle them? I also have several maintenance books, electrical books, etc. So I am wondering what to do. The DW makes it plain - I have too many of them! Suggestions? Jim.
How about scanning them into your computer? That way if you need something specific you can look it up and print or display only those pages that apply.

For me it is electronic mags. Some aren't printed anymore.

That's what I do. I scan good articles, instruction sheets for various products, local maps etc. You're only keeping them "just in case" and chances are you'll never look at them again. But they take up less room on a disc (or CD/DVD) than on a shelf. A DVD can hold the entire collection of magazines and still have lots of room left over.
Keep in mind that some of the technical articles from 1993 may also be obsolete. Certainly the reviews of 'new motorhomes' will be!

I don't know what the market is for Motorhome Magazine, but I found lots of buyers for my old copies of Mother Earth News at ebay. I have also donated collections of magazines to our local & college libraries.

I give my copies to a fellow camper that does not subscribe and he reads through all the articles. Other RV mags I put in our lodge for others to read or take if an article interests them.

Called Motorhome Magazine - they have 2 copies of all issues. So my "collection" went to the local library recycle bin. The Consumer Reports magazine "collection" also got trashed. I feel much lighter now. Jim.
