They both put out smelly annoying exhaust, and both have dangerous gas componenets.

What dangerous gas components does diesel exhaust have ? I know it stinks but I believe it has little to no carbon monoxide. I was told by a lifetime mechanic at my RV dealer that most of the new roof top AC units have about 10 % fresh air exchange.

I'm no expert, so don't take my word for it. It didn't take much searching to find reports of dangers in diesel exhaust. Here's a snippet from an OSHA source:
The emissions from diesel engines consist of both gaseous and particulate fractions. The gaseous constituents include carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide, oxides of sulfur, and hydrocarbons (e.g., ethylene, formaldehyde, methane, benzene, phenol, 1,3-butadiene, acrolein, and polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons).

Particulates (soot) in diesel exhaust are composed of solid carbon cores that are produced during the combustion process and that tend to form chain or cluster aggregates. As much of 15% to 65% of the mass of particulate emissions (soot) of diesel engines is made up of organic compounds absorbed onto the surface of the particulates. Among these compounds is a group of compounds known as polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons( PAHs), several of which are carcinogens (IARC 1983).

And another snippet from my diesel generator operator manual:

ENGINE EXHAUST IS DEADLY
• Inspect for exhaust leaks at every startup and after every eight hours of running.
• Learn the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning in the Operator’s Manual.
• Never sleep in the vehicle while the genset is running unless the vehicle is equipped with a working carbon monoxide detector.
• Do not operate the genset when the vehicle is in a confined space, such as a garage.
• Disable the automatic genset starting feature of an inverter-charger or other automatic starting device before storing the vehicle or parking it in a garage or other confined space.
• The exhaust system must be installed in accordance with the genset Installation Manual.
• Engine cooling air must not be used for heating working or living spaces or compartments.

Just how deadly is it, I don't know. I do know, however, that I don't want to spend hours in close proximity to clouds of diesel exhaust. I don't feel that it's prudent. You can come to your own opinion, and breath as much diesel fumes as you want. But if you are parked right next to me with your diesel exhaust pointed directly at my rig, please divert it and don't make me breath your exhaust.

Genturi is great. On my rig it dampens the sound well. It rund up the wall of my bedroom and I can really tell a difference when it's mounted. I had problems with my first Class B+ where the slides were not sealed very well when opened. Cold air could be felt when opened.
I won't be without one now that I've used it.
