Awesome story... but be very wary of any Moose. They kill more humans, than bears and they can be very aggressive. My FIL lives a bit north of you in Potlatch, Idaho. He's scared ****less of them! He's a darn moose magnet and always runs into them when deer and elk hunting the Pan Handle! Funny thing is, he never gets drawn for the wily critters!

Keep the stories coming and congratulations for landing the dream job in one of the most beautiful spots on Earth!

Just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not after you!

Dianne,
I have not been on since January, and I sure enjoyed your story. Thank you so much for the laugh.

Well, back from the river again...

No moose this time, thank goodness, but did have a weird group of fishermen. The first thing one of them asked me was what kind of power we had What power We are in the middle of nowhere...seems he needed to charge his cell phone so he could talk to his stock broker They all tried to impress Mike and me, but they sure went about it the wrong way

A coon did dump the trash can off the grill where we put it at night. We will have to come up with something better, tho....now he has learned. I heard a crash about midnite and got my trusty mini-mag lite out. Cracked the tent zipper and I peeked out. He was the biggest coon I have ever seen. Dining on garlic mashed potatoes and ribeye steak. Didn't get the dutch oven apple crisp, tho...that was in the cooler

Then he or his buddy jumped out of the tree right onto my tent Scrambled around a bit, scaring the **** out of me, but finally gave up...he won't intimidate me

We do have good times and meet some really great folks.

Not being able to talk to his stock broker in todays market probably cost him his fortune and may be asking for a ride home lol!

Why Full-Timing? Because at my age, I have maybe 40 more chances to see flowers bloom.

one moose, two moose, three moose. No meese or mooses.

That uncle must have some interesting pheromones to attract moose.
