I just noticed that the water pump on my fiver when turned on runs all the time. It has good pressure and functions fine it just wont cut off. The fresh water tank has plenty of water so I know that is not it. I would appreciate any help.

Either a defective pressure switch on the head of the pump or a defective pump that is allowing inlet and outlet pressures to "bleed".

Have you gone outside to check that water isn't pumping out of your city-water entry?

Connect a hose to it and see if the pressure from the line stops it from running. If it does you are loosing pressure from a leak and should see water dripping somewhere. Mine was letting the pressure bleed back out of the hose connection itself.

If it is a shurflo pump there is an adjustment on the pump to allow you to set the pressure that the pump turns off at. You can try adjusting it. I don't think you have a leak. The adjustment is a screw. Go on shurflo's web site & you may find directions for making the adjustment. If you have the paperwork that came with the pump it is in the literature.
