I had a bad experience just recently (do a search on General Topics here), so I CANNOT recommend Good Sam ERS.

I used the GS service two times this month... It was as good as expected and well worth the cost.
I think most road service providers use the same company for the road work.

We've had Good Sam and used it three times. Two times the service was good, third time it was outstanding. All depends on their contractor, and none of them, not even AAA, run their own service. As to a previous question asked about pre-paid service. You probably don't want to be without it. Last time we were it was almost $300 to be towed 25 miles (and that was several years ago).
