He doesn't have to represent his generation, he can just be a smarmy, lazy, entitled, self-appointed *genius*. All generations have them, but the new ones (mine included) seem to be overflowing with them.

The joke has some relevance. We're losing engineers and scientists and getting a bunch of arm-chair psychologists.

I've seen my share of helio-parents, but the good news is those are in the minority. Most of the kids today are hard working lads/lassies. Of course, the ones working hard to improve their (and our) world don't get the press of the few bad apples.

Actually, at my school, we are producing a bunch of engineers and scientists (my side of campus) along with the future psychologists (my wife's side of the campus). Most of them are good kids.

generation?"
After being called that, I bet that youth reall paid attention and had respect for the old arrogant person.
