Considering Alabama for a week over the Christmas -New Year Holiday.

Anyone have personal Knowledge of any of these campgrounds:

Island Retreat
Fort Morgan
Lazy Acres
Luxury RV

Or, maybe one that you would recommend 2 adults--50ish--one Boston Terrier.

Thanks!!

Those are ok but we prefer Anchors Aweigh. It's right at the outlet malls. 15 minutes from the beach. Headed there Friday for the weekend as a matter of fact. We have stayed at Gulf Breeze also ant it was fine. Where-ever you stay get reservations early as they all fill up that time of year. We go down every other weekend.

We snowbird at Island Retreat every year and think this is a great park. We've driven through Fort Morgan RV Park and didn't like what we saw. Luxury RV is the closest to the beach and well maintained, but very little space between sites and even less green space in the park. I can't remember what Lazy Acres is like. Another great option, if you can get a space, would be Gulf State Park.

We have stayed at Brown's RV Park outside of Mobile. It is not a beach-type of resort, but reasonably priced and quiet. We were there for 2 nights when my wife ran a marathon there 4 years ago.

We stayed at Anchors Aweigh in Foley. It was great and the owners were very friendly. Good luck.
