Greetings, Hope I do this right. Had a hard time trying to find out how to post here, sorry. Regardless I have a Demco tow dolly with autosteer and surge brakes. All in all I like it a lot. But there is a very irritating misalignment problem that I cant seem to find the answer to. I have an older 24'class C motor home and tow an "05" Dodge caravan with it. Tows well except that the dolly dog tracks about 4 inches to the left no matter what I do to compensate. I've measured about everything I can think of and it all seems symetrical, tires and almost new showing to wear, cupping or otherwise. The autosteer is smooth and well lubricated. ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEAS/SUGGESTIONS? Thanks in advance.

Had the same problem with my stehl. Tokk it in for repairs, the problem seems to be the actual tire mount bracket. They realigned that, no problems since.

good luck

Page 20 of Demco's KarKaddy user manual gives instruction for aligning the wheels. If you don't have a user manual go to the below Demco's website & download their pdf copy (it is at the bottom of said site).

My dolly does almost the same thing but not as bad. I think you will need to adjust the 4 bars that angle from deck to tongue. If no one gives you a good answer here. Give Demco a call (1-800-543-3626). They should have a answer to this adjustment. Would like to fix mine if you find the answer.

It not the "alignment" that is off, but the position of the "centering" pin bracket. With the pin in (the one you use when towing empty) check the distance between the tires, you have to loosen the bolts holding the bracket, and center it. This should NOT affect the alignment wich makes the tires track on turns.

Mine tows off when car is attached and pin is removed. Bracket has no affect when being used this way.

Oh, but it does affect it when towing with the car on! Mine used to do that, and it took me a while to figure it out. What happens is that the whole "alignment" (NOT the tire alignment) of the dolly is off if the "centering" bracket is off.

I don't want to jump into a slugfest but have you tried towing a differant vehicle on your tow dolly. It can make a differance because your front suspension is tied down to the frame of the dolly and if the vehicle is not square with the dolly it will track one way or the other. The wheels just follow the trailer.
