I have a Class A DP tow a Chevy. Tracker Rodmaster Tow Bar. There is this place in NC that I go to, that has a steep incline when you leave the highway, so I un hook my toad and then re hook back up, what would happen if I did not un hook, when you leave the highway the rear of the MH would go up would this efect the toad to a point wher it would cause damage, it would be the same when I leave and enter the Highway, I travel by myself and it creates a problem for me. I hope I explained this so you could understand what I am talking about. Thanks Roy

Roy,

What degree of an angle are you talking about? Also, what kind of tow bar is it? If it's an all terrain, as long as the angle isn't something drastic, you should be fine.

We use the Blue Ox Aventa LX ALL-Terrain.

I was worried about the same thing with our HHR behind us. DW drove as I watched, NO PROBLEM what so ever. I actually watched closely what it did.
It amazed me.

Best thing is to go easy and slow.

I'm with Joe, get someone to watch or drive so you can have a look see. I've done some interesting roads with my toad attached and if I'm concerned I get someone out to see what's going on. Usually not as bad as I think.

If you exceed the Angle that the Ball Hitch Allows It Will likely Bend the Hitch Or release the Ball! I Have the Stowmaster ,also a Ball Hitch and have exited and entered some pretty abrupt side roads in Mexico, but never have I had to disconnect the Tracker!
Just go really slow and Listen to Your Hitch! You should be OK!
