We like ours (came with the unit), but it does make it more difficult to clean since you can't drop it down flat again the camper to clean it. I have to climb on the room and have the wife hand me the brush.

Ours came with the MH, Dometic Weatherpro electric awning. Like how easier and convenient it is to use. If going to be gone for long time put up and when we come back push bottom on remote when coming back to MH and awning is back down. The weather sensor will take it up when there wind.

Sig. 5er came with a Carefree of Colorado automatic awning. We hang lights on it and even use the sun shade, just need a ladder to put the lights and sunshade up, or take them down. We really like ours.

We have one, and it is great. The only issue that I am hearing about now is what do you do when the motor goes bad. Ours is a Colorado, and I am hearing that you have to take it apart to be able to manually role it up. I have no idea how to take it apart to do this, and that concerns me.

We have a power awning on our Rockwood and it is nice and quick for opening and closing but, I prefer the manuel awning. With the power awning you can't tilt one side down to let the rain water run off and for putting lights on you have to have a step stool to reach the awning roll.

We loved ours until it broke. Hopefully it will be working again soon. But be prepared to have a few people to roll it back manually

After having both styles I definitly prefer the manual awning. Yes it is nice to be able to put your awning in/out with the push of a button but I found many downsides that discouraged me from getting another one. I like to hang lights, etc. from my awning and you need to carry a step ladder to do so. Of course if you hang anthing from it you have to remember to turn off the automatic retract system. Also thought about a screen room but you can't put one on an electric model. Most of electric awnings do have a spring loaded arm in case of water build up but IMHO they are worthless. Just my two cents...Hutch

Love ours. Much easier than having to go out and roll up awning in weather. Wouldn't be without it.

Our new unit was ordered with the electric awning and wouldn't go back to the manual again
