There are a couple of campgrounds that I would like to camp at, but there are now dump or water stations available. I know that some rest area's along the interstate have places where I could dump, but these camp sites are nowhere near the interstate. How would a person find a place that has a dump station? Is there a site on the internet that provides that information? Or some other means that I can find a dump location?

Thanks.

Daryl

Flying J gas stations usually have dump stations, but I'm not sure of all the States they are located in...I just know there are a few here in Indiana down the interstates. Here's their website for you... www.flyingj.com

Best of luck and Happy Camping!!!

Call the town sewage treatment plant. Most of them allow dumping and will be able to give you water or direct you to the town water plant.

Some State parks have them, I have been stopping at local camp grounds close to where ever we boondock at to dump before having to pull a loaded trailer back over the mountains very far. I haven't found a camp ground yet that charges more than $10 to dump and re fill your water if you need water. Along I-70 through the mountains there are at least three rest areas that have free dump stations. Our city has a free station that is only open during business hours and was not built with the thought of it ever being used by anything bigger than a walk up porta potty dump.

Cabela's usually has dump stations and water.
If your campgrounds are National Forest campgrounds, ask the rangers where the nearest dump station is.

Sanidumps.com lists over 12,000 locations where you can empty your RV holding tanks, with updates being submitted daily.

Thats why I intend on buying a "blue sewage tank" and a 12V macerator pump....so I can pull the blue tank to the toliet and use the electric pump to pump it into the pit toliet...
