A few more tips: Have a signal flag thing to hang on your steering wheel to remind you to retract the TV antenna if any. Have somebody help you when backing/maneuvering in tight quarters to avoid hitting something, move verry slowly, watch for exaggerated rear end swing, and stop if you hear something. Secure all movable/breakable objects inside before driving, secure microwave tray, if any. so it can't fall out and break. Try to pack things so that they can't rattle and drive you nuts on the road. Test all fire, CO and other alarms.
Test all propane items, water heater, furnace, stove and range top for proper function and no gas leaks. This is a hobby but certain aspects require serious consideration for your safety.

What about shocks life? 125 Km against 22 yrs? replace them anyway?
Cheers,

"Dual I beam" is Ford's trademarked name for swing axle suspension which is what it is.
If you look at a Lotus 6 (yes, that old) you will see the same front suspension configuration.
BTW: Michelin says 10 years on their tires (tyres too, I presume) and they do allow some checking (cracks). They have a very good explanation on their web site.

Bart, when you replace your tires, insist on load range E -- they are heavier duty and will help immensely with sway and lean in corners, when windy, and when passed by trucks. I was really nervous driving my Class C on windy days due to the terrific swaying; then when I had to replace them I went with load range E (I purchased Goodyear tires). The difference was unbelievable. Handling, etc. are all much, much better; my confidence in the vehicle doubled.
The subject of tire age was mentioned in a previous post.
Id like to mention that when we got our MH in May, I checked the tires after having washed it for the first time.
I found the tires were made the 23 week of 04.
They still had very good tread on them but were starting to weather crack on the sidewalls.
The rig now has a new set of Michelin LT 225/75 X 16's Load range E under it running @ 80 # pressure.
They ran a little more than 1000 bucks.
