Any suggestions on how to get away from living out of slimey zip-lock bags for our bathroom stuff? (Toothbrushes, pastes, soaps/shampoos)
Thanks!
that is a heck of an idea...
my tip...
keep a set of keys to the camper in your truck, keep a set of truck keys in your camper...

We always have 1/2 gallon milk jugs or O.J. cartons filled with water and pre-frozen in our freezer. They keep the food cold longer in the camping cooler than cubes. When we get home, we just pop them back in the freezer for the next trip. We also use smaller cool whip/rubbermaid food containers to pre-make chunks of ice for the cooler. Makes for less trips to buy ice on a longer camping outing.
- Fire starter, cut a 1 inch wide piece length of news paper, roll it up, tie with twine, soak in melted wax, take out and let dry. Old Scout trick, use the twine as the fuse.
- I took some nylon rope and tied it to the bolts of the AC brace inside the PUP, now you have a clothes line all the time to hang towels to dry.
- Zip ties, never leave home without them.

Great idea! Gonna try that. Just discovered (last trip out) at night to darken the camper DH goes outside with a light while I'm inside. Light that can be seen from outside means a but entry so I seal it.

JMHO....
I don't have in-law problems. In fact, I just told my wife the other day, "I like your mother-in-law better than I do my own"
I am fortunate as well, I like my in-laws better than my own parents.
Of course I get along better with my in-laws than my wife does.
They have joined us on many camping trips, and we all have very enjoyable memories. Makes for great memories for the kids, We all agree its important for them to have the memories of their grandparents.

get a plastic lunch box and add a piece of styrene with holes in it to hold the toothbrushes and paste alone with a rinse cup or two
styrene can be bought at hobbystores and will glue to plastic well, it can also be drilled witha cheap drill to make holes then just sand the burrs off. i will do this one day as a project once i get a camper lol
and a larger plastic box could incorperate tp or shampoo too. now i think of it silicone may work to hold the styrene too
if anyone tries this pm me i want to know how it went
