Verizon worked for us in Moab and did visit all the areas you mentioned, but we seldom used the cell in those areas so can't help you with info there.

Yep Verizon worked for me too. Spotty in the Canyonlands and Dead Horse Point areas unless you are on high ground.

I came here with the same question in rregards to the same area... I did buy the "booster" ( for lack of a more techie term) that's made by the Wilson co. and last monday I tried it from the canyon where my Gunclub has our range, I had maybe 2 bars of tower, put the phone into the power cradel and ..PFM!! 5 bars !!! small ant on roof of truck...also the kit comes with a bigger one for the RV, it has ground planes to make up for the rubber roof...haven't tried that yet..

I'm planning to boondock in that area this fall and as much of the winter as nature will allow...

Try Wilson, think they are made in St george Utah...

It's hit or miss. We just got back from there. You can go from 5 bars to 1 in a matter of a few feet.

Don't count on your Verizon connection to provide a data/internet connection if tethered to your computer.
If you are using your phone to stay in contact with others so you don't get lost, a cheap GPS set to "breadcrumb track" is much better (carry extra batteries).
When we were there, our neighbor left his campsite in early afternoon and told his wife he'd be back for supper. He sheepishly showed up at 4AM and bought a GPS that afternoon.

We came up through there in March and April and have Verizon. In Moab and on the highway you will have no problem. As with most national parks, you will generally loose cell service as you get into the park. Even with our Wilson antenna, we generally have problems, so we just ride it out and figure we will catch up when we get back to civilization!! You MIGHT get something at Deadhorse SP but you will not get anything in Canyonlands or Arches.

Enjoy your trip. Those are beautiful parks.
