I was taking Pebbles out for a walk and as I got the to the next campsite by us after our walk....I notice 2 pitbulls...I hesitate for a second...and then see they are on chains and continue to walk on...they see us....and jump up and take off running towards us...
But no worries...they are chained up....well when the one got to the end of it's chain....it snapped the chain like it was a piece of yarn...and continues running towards me and Pebbles...
I grab up Pebbles as fast as I can while yelling..get your dog...get your dog....I am so scared...and just sure one of is fixing to get eaten....
Owners are running as fast as they can but too late....pit bull has reached us....
At which point....the big ole pit bull begins licking my legs like I'm a big ole lolly pop...
Boy did I feel stupid

Bud would've kicked butt and asked questions later, followed by a major scene between dog owners and possible law enforcement intervention. I'm picturing me thumbing the phone book for bail bonds..... Phew! I'm glad it wasn't us! Also glad it was a good pittie. I'm not afraid of them but "some" people I know are sure all pits are killers.

Glad all turned out good for you! I probably would have screamed louder than you! Had a chow break a chain and attacked my cocker spaniel (on a leash.) End of that neighbor's friendship. All eyes looking everywhere!

Pebbles definately thought she was one lick from being a tasty snack....she was so far in my shirt....I looked like I'd stuffed my bra
Some great protection dog I've got ....
Oh and the owners...felt so bad....and kept apoligizing....they were new chains....and couldn't believe they broke....I felt bad for making 'em feel bad....'cause their dogs were so good...I didn't even know they had dogs until that infamous moment
