Our Expedition came with a bra that fits on the front end and I wonder if folks that have them use them? I never liked them much because I saw alot of damage to paint on front ends of Vette's when I worked for GM dealers.

Most of those guys that have those Vettes are to lazy to take the bras off and wash and wax underneath ofter.
If you do that- you will save a lot of chipping of the front end paint.
Just take it off after every long trip and wash and wax and the paint will be good and there won't be any chips in the paint.
Plus bugs come off the bras easier than the paint!

i use my bra to cover my firewood alongside my garage. you're right; if they aren't perfectly mounted they will ruin the front end of anything. by rubbing the finish or trapping dirt behind the bra which acts like sandpaper.

I have one on our '01 Expedition and on our '04 Suzuki toad.
I keep hearing about abrasive damage to the vehicles with bra's but in all honesty, I haven't had any visible damage to either. I do remove them from time to time and give a good cleaning and wax before replacing. The only thing I do see is a discoloration (yellowing) on the hood of the Suzuki (its white). But after cleaning and waxing and leaving the bra off for a couple weeks or so, the yellowing goes away and leaves no visible discoloration.

A bra on a mh and a bra on a car are compelety different. The bra on a mh is tight enough that it will not move, no way to get it that tight on a car.

Hey Bates hows things. We are entering year 6 with our coach. We put the bra on when we travel and take it off when we are in one place for more than a few days. After 5 years there is only one part of the coach that looks as perfect as the day we took possesion and thats the front end. Highly recomended.
Safe travels.

Had one on our 2000 DSDP, when we got the 2002 I didn't bother. Too much trouble to take it on and off to let it dry out all the time. Just not worth it.
