I guess I should explain that we have a front load that we leave the door cracked on so that it doesn't mildew. Logan is at that stage where he has to get into every conceivable predicament possible. This happened last weekend. Wish I had grabbed a camera before I got him out. Would have made a good PPT addition.
When I get to heaven,
I shall see three wonders there.
The first wonder will be to see
many there whom I did not expect to see.
the second wonder will be to miss
many people who I did expect to see.
and the third and greatest of all
will be to find myself there.

Strangest thing I ever found in the washing machine was actually my cloths. It is usually full of the wife's stuff or the kids.

I find it amazing that anyone would believe that a snake or any other critter could get in water pipes or drain pipes, then go through valves or pumps to end up in the wash tub. It had to climb through the lid, no other way in.

I find this thought accurate. Considering the main water line into the average home is only 2'' across or less. How could that size of snake fit through it?

I swear mine eats socks, as I always find only the left one.
Wierdest thing i've ever found in mine was several pieces of what looked like rocks. Weren't any rocks in my clothes. But, I found out it was iron deposits that were building up in my lines and the valve when the valve stopped closing and the water kept running with it off. I have a well and it's got lots of iron in it. Had to install a whole house filter inline to stop it from ruining the magnetic valves....and filling my floor with water when I wasn't paying attention.
There just was no way that snake could have gotten in any other way than crawling through the lid. The magnet valve on washers had less than 1/4 inch when it's open, not to mention most house water lines are 1/2 or 3/4 inch lines. And, the average drain line is 1 1/2 to 2 inches and the pump impellers inside have less than 1/2 inch between them.
If I don't meet your expectations
Maybe you should lower your standards.

I found the aftermath of sending a roll of coins through a wash cycle.
The coins survived unharmed...the wrapper did not.
