Thanks

If you search this site, you'll find lots of good things about Artic Fox. Don't know much about the other one.

On my 2nd Arctic Fox---1st was a 03 28 5D and and currently an 07 29 5T. Just returned from the annual Arctic Fox Rally, in La Grande, Or. Did a factory tour, met a lot of Arctic Fox/ Nash owners and talked with Ron Nash--the owner of Northwood. He was saying the about 50% of Arctic Fox's are sold in Canada. They are a rugged well built trailer with a lot of refinements you won't find in other trailers. The are not many options because everything is pretty much standard equipment, from the factory---like shock absorbers, 10 gal water heater, block foam insulation. Northwood builds their own frame and suspension. Arctic Fox trailers are designed to go off road. After touring the factory and talking to some employees I was impressed witht the fact the the people building the campers really liked their job and took quite a bit of pride in their product. Good Luck, Lars

I'm an Arctic Fox owner of 7 years, (a 2001 235H) no issues yet...I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

You might want to go to www.rvknowhow.com and read the Kieva's suggestions for how to select an RV. It doesn't address the make/quality issue but concentrates more on the livability of the unit for your situation.

All of the Artic Foxes I have seen are very impressive. They were too heavy for the TV we had when we were looking so they got ruled out. I've never been in a Topaz before, so I can't comment on those.

I don't think they are all that heavy. We have been looking at a 2007 30.5 foot (295T) and the pin weight is only 1760 - Gross dry is 9270 and GVWR is 13,000. That is the next to largest unit they have.
Not nearly as heavy as some of the other rigs we have seen.
