I hook it up when we get there and pack it when we're ready to leave. I place a large rock, if available, or, a log on the receptacle end to hold it in place. When we're at one of the rallies, the grey usually fills up first and needs a slight dump during the week. I'd rather not have to find this out, say during a dinner, and have to drag out the stinky slinky at that time. I'll walk around and open the grey vavle and let some out. I always have at least a 3/4 full grey tank to flush out the tube after dumpiing the black tank. I use big rubber gloves and have the alcohol wipes handy when finished, then wash with antiseptic soap after that. Both tanks, the slinky and the slinky container get a thorough cleaning at home. I have a dump receptacle at home, so, it makes it easy.

Are you on septic or city sewer? I'm on septic and have been thinking about this option.

I don't get lost, I investigate alternative destinations.

Your septic should handle it. A shot of Odorlos(tm) in the black tank will carry it's oxygen to the septic tank for a little bit of help there too.

The Flowjet pump runs on 12v. But the pump is only necessary if you have to pump some distance or up hill. I use the water powered Sewer Solution on a full service site.

Saving me two hours at the end of a weekend NOT standing in line qualified the purchase for me. Yeah it takes me some time to pump out at home, but I can get the tank very clean.

yep I used to use a sewer solution and when I broke that bought a macerator pump. mine does not have a grey water bypass and that is inconvenient. but a sewer solution would be best at a full service site, not a public dump.
and not having that huge, filthy stinky slinky to deal with is "priceless". much easier to put away a piece of garden hose than a 3 inch slinky. somebody previously posted how to make a home made sewer solution which I copied and made two of them with slight modifications.
