We stayed at Bryn Mawr for 5 nights in June. Sites are a little snug, but you are on the beach. We liked the option after a day of touring St. Augustine to pick between their large pool or the beach.

Also if you want to tour in St. Augustine and not have to drive into the city, Ripley's has a shuttle service that meet us at the campground office and took us to their train in the old city. Kids are free this summer and adult tickets are around $22 for a 3 day pass. Sure was nice to let someone else do the driving for us!

We stayed at the KOA in St. Augustine in Feb and it was ok. A little pricy at $80.00 a night if I remember but ok.

80 freakin dollars I guess you don't mind paying 4 bucks for gas either!!! Just find any state park between georgia and orlando at reserveamerica.com and book the proper length site. Less than 20 bucks for most.

We paid $80 a night for this site we are at now on the beach. More then I wanted to pay but DH really wanted to stay on the beach. We paid $4.19 for gas here today. We have already exceeded what I planned to spend on gas and we haven't even gotten to Disney yet. We maybe walking home

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. We ended up at Beverly Beach Campton

DH couldn't resist staying right on the beach. To me it looks like one big parking lot that cost to much LOL BUT DH REALLY wanted to stay on the beach so here we are It is beautiful!

Beautiful picture!! Bryn Mawr is not that close to the beach. A big sand dune blocks the views. Higher rates are to be expected for any CG on the beach or in a high tourist area. Just enjoy and not worry about the costs (it's too late now anyway). LOL

Yup cabanaman you are right but we had some requirements and that's where we ended up. Had to have wifi, cable, allow two BIG dogs and we have a 39'6" 5ver that won't fit everywhere. In retrospect I probably would have looked a little more but that's life. As far as $4.00 for diesel....know where I can get a truck load....it's $4.79 here. LOL

I'm running around with a 40'er also so I can relate, but reserve america gives size limitations so you don't get in trouble. No there's no wifi or cable, but pets are no longer a problem in florida state parks.Guess that's where your prioritys start coming into play. I have a gasser motor not a diesel which is why I say gas at $4.00.Thank goodness It runs well on regular!

Our favorites in St. Augustine are North Beach Camp Resort and Anastasia State Park...Both have nice, private sites.
