have a 3500 chevy dually duramax, long bed, am looking to buy my first tc, i have a 18k putnam hitch on back which sticks out about 8 inches to pull boat.
question- i was looking at a used northern lite ten2000 cd rig but notice in pics that the overhang over the rear bumper is significant
am i going to be limited in size on the length of the tc i buy in order to utilize my hitch while the camper is on????
thanks
mike

I have a Ten2000 on a GMC duramax dually long box.
We pull a cargo trailer with motorcycles.
I have extended the hitch and there are no problems.

Pulling your boat should be easy.

You have multiple options depending on the length and tongue load you're planning on carrying.

Lots of information can be found using the forum search

For lighter loads and 18" or less extensions, use a hitch extender

For longer lengths, you have two options.

The Reese Titan with extension

or

The Superhitch

Another option if you're into fabrication is to make your own. Several people on the forum have done so.

A regular hitch extender does my job. (See Matthews link)
