Don't miss Cave of the Winds in the state park in New York. You can actually stand underneath Bridal Veil falls.

well you picked a great campground to stay at. Four mile creek is one of the top NYS campgrounds; clean well managed and great sites. If possible stay on the lake front; great views of Toronto.
Nice family restaurants close by; Rays and Johnston's. Also consider the Wilson boat house for great dining.

What about the KOA at Niagara Falls, Canada? Is this a nice place to stay for three or four days? Will be there in mid August. With only this limited amount of time to stay. What would be the MUST see things?

We spent 3 nights at the KOA at Niagara Falls, Canada. It is a very nice campground with level, shaded sites. The sites were big enough for big rigs. There are 3 pools and a playground if you have kids. Must see things to do - Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds on the American side. It costs $20 to park on the Canadian side. Be sure to walk along the walkway from the Canadian falls to the Maid of the Mist landing on the Canadian side. Lots of photo opportunities. The American side is in a state park. There are walkways along the river there, too. We also did the behind the falls tour on the Canadian side but the Cave of the Winds is much better. There is a shuttle from the KOA that takes you to the falls. You may want to do that.

Another vote for the KOA, Lundy's Lane on the Canadian side. Lots of activities for the kids and adults alike.
The wine tastings are becoming more and more available in the Niagara on the Lake area. Over 60 wineries in a small area there.
The drive along the Niagara river from Niagara Falls to Fort Erie is also very nice.
Marineland is your typical amusement park with the addition of the whales, seals, dolphins etc.

We went last August and really enjoyed ourselves. Our must-do's were maid of the mist, Cave of the winds, the lookout tower. Of course you need to go to the Canadian side for the view. You can just stand there and watch the water...very nice.

I would suggest the all-in-one ticket they sell on the American side...

We stayed at Niagara Falls Campground. Had the basics...served us well.

No one added Fort Niagara, as a 'must-see'. We did our trip Summer of 2006, with then a 9 old grandson, and 14 year old granddaughter, and they still talk about the Fort. A bit Pricey---just east of 4 Mill Creek Campground.
