We have our first TT, a 31ft by Heartland/North Trail, and have been out a few times. My wife has not adjusted to the movement inside very well and has gotten a little woozy at times.
So I have been looking at the Eliminator and JT Strong Arms, and from what I see, they are very similar. But the question I have is around the installation:
How many struts does the package include? Surfing around the internet makes it look like 6 - 2 for the front, 4 for the back. My dealer said he thought it only included 4, and that if I wanted struts going side-to-side I would need 2 packages. That didnt sound right.
I am assuming I am going to have the dealer install - my trailer has an enclosed underbelly, which will have to be trimmed away where all this is going to mount. I dont know if this is something I am willing to tackle.
I have also heard good things about the various chocks/locks to put between the TT tires, however, I cannot find one that will fit my TT - I would need these to extend to about 22" to pinch between the inside of the North Trail tires. Any ideas?
JT Strongarms include 6 struts, 4 for the front and 2 for the rear. Just put mine on last month. They eliminate almost all the movement. Still a little but very little.
I installed them myself. Did not trim the underbelly. Just drilled thru it into the frame. Works fine. You just have to make sure you are not drilling too close to the edge of the I beam flange since you cannot see it very well.
Includes 4 for the front and 2 for the back. Love ours.

JT's are best if you have scissors jacks. If you have the really light duty arm type jacks as I do the Bal Lockarms are the best, but requires 2 kits. Each Bal kit gives you 2 lockarms. They really do work.

The new BAL arms are pretty much the same as the StrongArms for less money. I have a set on my trailer and they seem to work quote well.
I replaced my scissor jacks with BAL "C" stabilizer jacks so the side to side and yaw motion is already taken care of. The arms help a lot with fore and aft movement.

We have the Bal stabilizers and I put a small jack between the wheels, seems to work well, however there is still some movement as the floor seems to flex a little.
