We just spent 4 nights at KOA Petaluma with our granddaughter. Each day a small supervised crew of physically and/or functionally disabled young adults in uniform helped clean the campground, keeping he grounds spotless. It appeared that they felt personal reward by their accomplishments and they responded happily to praise by guests. I thank KOA petaluma for taking the time to help others help themselves. As a side note, it is a great campground especially with children.
What a great little story, we dont get enough of them. We live about 75 miles north of there, and often have to spend time around that and the Santa Rosa area for medical reasons. And we normally stay in our Motor Home with our two little Shih tzu's dogs. If they allow small dogs, and we get the chance to stay there we will.
