Not to belabor this subject, but I recently found a product that might be a problem-ender. It's a Fulton (or Buyers) accessory adapter that either bolts to, or gets welded to, the rear side chassis frame and spans the rear of the TT beneath (I think) the bumper, and has a receiver welded on to accept the bike rack. Anybody have any experience with such a device?

It does not say how much weight in can carry. I would not expect it to be able to carry a big motorcycle. One or two bicycles should be fine. Somewhere in between is the point of failure.

I have a setup just like that on my 5er. I bolted it and it comes out just above the bumper. Its very stout. I run a 4 bike rack on mine and have 3 bikes on it. Works great but the bikes get pretty beat up back there. I think there is just too much motion back there. I'm looking for other options at this point but havent found one yet.

I don't have a good pic but here is one with our bikes on it.
I've been running the setup for about 2 years now with no problems with the exception of the bikes banging together pretty bad.

That is similar to what I used on my TT.
Here is a link TT Hitch
See folowing pics for more details.
By attaching bikes at the tires they do not move or bang into each other.
