What is the best, most secure and easiest tow bar. I know zero about these, so let me hear your opinions.
Thanks,

Another forum member Trkrhelper(sp?)said the Roadmaster was the best because you can unhook it on 'any' ground level situation.
The dealership my MH was at would not order one of these for me so I went with the Blue OX. I suspect he was a BlueOx distributor.
I have to admit with the Blue Ox you have to find real level ground to unhook it. In my case I have to block traffic to unhook THEN pull into my not 'perfectly' leveled site.

For the most part, there all good. It also depends on what you going to be towing and what your going to be towing with. The weights, brake away systems, will you need brakes or not..... Bill

We went with the towmaster because it has a double pivot and no ball mount and the hitch stays on the motorhome. Easy to hook and unhook. I'm sure Blue Ox and some of the others have the same type of set up.

I am shure you will get a lot of "brand" name advice on here.
Here is how I picked Mine....
I used this simple saying "Keep it simple stupid"....
Now I am not saying anyone is dumb but I feel the fewer moving parts....the fewer places to brake or fail...JMO
That how I aproched my hitch purchase.

Get one that will work on uneven terrain.. most manufacturers make them and i feel they are worth the extra money.
You may also need a supplemental braking system to go with the tow bar.

We use the Roadmaster AT, which can be easily hooked or unhooked on any out of level terrain condition. Previously had a regular(non AT system) and as was said earlier, you had to be perfectly level to hook or unhook. We are very satisfied with the Roadmaster products.

Sorry..cant go with the "have to be level stuff" at all!
Uphill or down hill..dont matter.
1) You set the brake on the toad..so it cant more AT ALL.
2) Your "navigator" or "better half" or..?...gets into the coach..foot on the brake pedal and put the coach into GEAR
That takes all of the "pinch and bind" out of the pins in the arms....you pull the pins and tnen stow the arms in their stored position ( Adventa model)
Unhook the electrical and give the "driver" the sign to put the coach back into park
thats all their is to it
