I used Ooops! too. It took a little rubbing and reapplication of the Ooops but it did finally get the glue off. Sorry you ran into a couple of grumps right off the bat. Usually we are a much nicer bunch of people - perhaps their coffee was cold this AM!!

We just removed the border in our trailer. We used a hair drier to warm it up, and then peeled it off. The glue residue was easily removed with a little paint thinner. I would not advise a stronger solvent, as it may damage the vinyl wall covering.

I'm sorry. I included a Smiley face in my post, indicating that I was only kidding. The many that do know me here are used to my warped sense of humor. I certainly didn't mean to offend you.

As a long time poster on this forum I have seen over the years a change in the responses we give as senior or experienced members. This Forum used to be a safe and secure place to ask even the most simple questions and lately I have seen and read some really caustic replies to people. Not just this post but all posts in general. Make a mistake in spelling and the responders jump on the poster; ask a question that an experienced RVer has seen or read, you get told, in no friendly terms, to do a search for the answer. Folks, we are losing new members daily due to this hostile atmosphere! I read all types of RV Forums and read on them all the time how the poster got an "unkind" or "rude" response from us members on the RV.Net Forum and they will never be back to ask for help again and that is sad. We are driving away the future of our forum. One day we will be too old, too infirm, too blind to be able to respond to posts and we will have single handedly driven away all those new folks who were looking for advice or comfort or support in their questions.
Think about how you respond and also think how you would like to hear that response you were planning to give before you hit that "Send" or "Post" button if you were a newbie looking for help.

If you want to try something else that's not a solvent, I had luck rubbing olive oil into the glue and then wiping it off with a paper towel (We have some chemical-sensitive family members ). Leaves a nice "cooking type" smell in your rv too. Good luck.

I would say that there are a few folks on this forum that should make sure they get at least one cup of coffee dowm prior to answering any poster that is asking for advice. So,if there are double, triple, post,or more, is it such a big deal?

Actually there are three posted in three different forums! Sounds like a couple of moderator wannabees to me. Equal to trolls The other posters are right if you can't give a nice reply then MYB and move on.

javaseuf wrote: Hey guys, before you dis my response, please notice the Smiley face that I posted in my last response. It meant that I WAS KIDDING!!!! Geeze!!!! And if you read my signature, I am never short on having my first cup of coffee in the morning. In fact, I just connect up to a IV and inject it right into my veins throughout the day. Maybe that is the problem! (Notice Smiley face. ONLY KIDDING!)
And no, I am not a "wanna-be Moderator. Just trying to inject some humor into some obviously very humorless lives. (Notice NO Smiley face here.)
I see no need to justify myself to anyone else here other than the original poster and again, offer my sincere apology. My intent wasn't to insult you. I also tried to send the OP a personal apology but they don't accept PM's.
And Cheryl, very good advice especially for many that do post sarcasim here with the intent of being mean ( which is NOT what I was doing)and offer no apology for their actions.
And I also apologise to the Mods for starting what looks like yet another thread going down the RV toilet.
