Hi, I am about to tackle the job of installing new torsion assemblies into my A&E Dometic awning tube as well as installing a new awning cover. It is the 8300 model. I would appreciate any help in this matter. Thanks and Happy Trails to All

You should read the information at:

or click on:
Awning Repair

Just be very aware that it is quite possible to break some fingers or a wrist if the work is not none exactly correctly!!!

Read the directions that come with the assembly very closely, especially ALL the safety warnings. The spring can be dangerous if treated irresponsibly, but if you do it as they suggest, the job is a piece of cake. Just go slow and take your time.

Thanks for the help. I see that on the Awning Repair under the torsion assembly torque specs it lists all the model #s. My model # is 8300, which is not listed. Would anyone know which would be the correct one for me to use? I have a 17' awning. Thanks again
