When you have no real destination how do you all search and look for the best monthly deals?
I.E just head out to the ones that are priced the best.
Are there any shortcuts other than looking at your FMCA, PassportAmerica, etc., memberships and randomly searching online and then having to call 'each' one of them for their monthly rates?
Is there any pubication that lists parks with monthly rate specials?
Or IS this the only way to do it?

Rock, The only way I know to find the rates is to either call or if the CG has a web site, the monthly rate may be listed. I find by calling ahead is the best way. I have two roof mounted satellite antennas and I want to make sure that I have a clear southern sky.

Sorry, no shortcuts I know of.
Pick the area your interested in, google map it, search for campgrounds under find businesses, get on the phone.
Shouldn't take more than 15 minutes for any area.
Good luck,

Not only do you find out the rates, BUT, if you are good, you may be able to make a better deal on the phone than what they are asking. Plus you find out so many other things .

I've been wishing for the last few years for some shortcuts. The ones in the directories aren't the only ones out there.
We also find that once we arrive, someone has vacated a nicer spot just in time. Or the price may change since we may get a better site for just a few $'s more.

The only ones that are normally advertise their monthly rate are the parks that cater to snow birds. We tend to stay in small parks the rest of the year and never have a problem finding monthly rates. Right now we are stay at 6000 ft between 2 mountain ranges for $400 amonth full hookup .

Just out of curiousity....which group is better? I really liked the FMCA....until i read that you had to have a MH....i on the otherhand will be enjoying a 5thwheel. What are some other good ones out there? is Good Sams a smart choice? I really liked the Atlast from FMCA.
What are your thoughts?

Another way to try (not easier, I guess) is to google things like: "monthly camping rates) and see what comes up.
Why Full-Timing? Because at my age, I have maybe 40 more chances to see flowers bloom.
