What type of extra mirrors could I use while towing with the Tahoe?
Or where should I look for them?

Greetings. What year Tahoe do you have?. We have a 99 OBS. I tried the strap-on type and then the CIPA slide on. The strap on vibrated in the wind at or above 100 kmh. The side on are better. easy-on..easy-off and very little vibration.. They are avail from Lordco and Cdn Tire. Not cheap unless you know someone who can get a 30% dis. at L. Good luck trying to find ones to fit the Tahoe. all the ones they sell are for the pick up trucks. All the strap on types rattle and fall off.
I quit buying and throwing them away, sold the TT and bought a MH!

On my Envoy I tried a set of the strap-on mirrors. They didn't fit worth a d*** and I broke a strap on one.
I have a set of McKesh mirrors now, I should have just gone with them first.

The mirrors need to extend outward enough to see "behind you" not just down the side. Measure the width of the towed trailer and then the width of the mirrors when mounted. Walk behind the trainer to a point where you can see both mirrors. The distance in front of you is a big blind spot.
That being said, the only mirrors I have found worthy are the McKesh mirrors. Extend them as far as they will go. I used to use BOTH slide-on AND McKesh mirrors trying to get the best rear coverage. Never was pleased until I also got a rear view video camera to cover the "blind spot".

That's not true.
I have a set of McKesh towing mirrors that I bought in 2001.
They do not rattle, nor do they fall off.
I've towed over 50,000 miles with them (see sig).
They are easy on and off.
I highly recommend McKesh towing mirrors.

I've got a 2006 Tahoe and use the CIPA slide-on's. They work well. Got them on eBay.

I'm driving down to Lordco to check out the CIPA slide on.
If not then the McKesh are next.

I have had TTT-Mirrors on my Silverado for several years. They look good, work good and are very well made. Just extend when towing and retract when not.

Well, sure! For $350 plus installation I would expect them to look good, work good and be very well made.
