Been thinking of going green. I have all ready switched the trimmer and edger to battery and the little rototiller to 110v.
I've been looking at battery mowers for a while now and have not been too impressed. Then I came across this one. 60 volt hybrid. If the battery dies before you are done or need to cut some tall wet stuff just plug it into 110v and finish up. This would eliminate the one last gas can in the shed. It would also eliminate the annual cost of spark plug, fuel & air filter and oil changes.
I am hesitant to spend the money and then not like it. Anybody else have one?

Is it REALLY "green"? How is the power to recharge it produced? Coal fired power plant? Gas turbine power plant? If so, it isn't all that green.
Nuclear power plant? Solar cells? Wind turbines? Hydroelectric? A little more green, but then you have to consider the acres covered with water, or the acres covered by solar cells, etc.
How recyclable is that mower? Is there a lot of plastic used in the construction? Plastic is often a petrochemical product, and some types are not recycled at this time. How about the battery? Is it recyclable, or is it just hazardous waste when it dies?
The only way to go truly "green", IMO, is to get an all metal and wood push type reel mower. You get your excercise, the mower is totally recyclable, and it is pollution free (except for the carbon dioxide you exhale while mowing). No, I don't have one. It takes me an hour to mow the lawn with my lawn tractor with the 54 inch mower deck. No way I would do it by hand!
Sometimes I think about moving the fence and making more of the lawn into horse pasture!

I own two lots here in Detroit, back to back, both lots are about 137 feet deep and 35 feet wide.. . Years ago when the shop wanted to pad the bill for fixing up the TORO gas mower that came with the house I told 'em KEEP IT.. They said "What about the check out fee" I told them "You pay it, It is now your mower" and walked out.
Went to Black & Decker and got a corded electric.. Wore it out, wife only ran over the cord once.. Replaced it with a better corded from the B&D outlet store, Wore it out (just last month in fact) got a "Yard Force" from Lowes.
On a scale of 10, my pleasure with these units is about 12, In the last quarter century I've not spent one cent on gas for the mower.. Only had a "Can't start" one time (Last month, the original B&D the housing broke apart) Never changed oil or spark plugs. You do need to sharpen them from time to time.
Considered a battery unit but with the layout of my lawns it's easier to use a cord and follow instructions to insure you don't chop it
Oh, the back lot is vacant, nothing on it but grass and the path I drive when I move the house-on-wheels pictured below.
I'm very happy with these uints
I do have 12ga extension cords and the MH has a spare power ourlet (30 amp and 15 amp both.. Well 20 and 15 when I'm here at home).. Supply to MH is only 20)
There is also 30 amp power to the garage

I would like to get one. You can get one on amazon.com for $1200.00.
...you can buy two used goats for under $200, and if you must play croquet, get the longer mallets. We played croquet on the farm, poop was just considered an inconvenience, and critters encourage you to play faster, occasionally REAL fast............

Remember the old TV show "What's My Line" (At least I think it was What's My Line, yes it was What's My Line)
They had an episode where a company rep (or CEO) ran a Mow-Bot out on stage
I knew what it was right away, since I'd read up on it already... I don't recall if the panel got it but I know it had them scratching their heads.
