We have a'99 Bounder which we bought in 2000 with 5000 miles. There have been 3 times that the wipers won't turn Off either after I've turned them ON or most recently they've begun operating when starting the engine! The first 2 times the Fleetwood dealer replaced the Wiper's Controller. I have not had a repair done as of this writing. I merely disoonnected the power and of course that fixes the problem until we encounter RAIN (which is rarely here in AZ). Any suggestions? Thnx
The wiper motor has a park switch. When you turn off the wipers, the park switch keeps them running until they get to the park position then shuts off. That switch could be stuck. The other possibility is that on some the switching is on the ground circuit. If that is the case, a short to ground on the wire to the switch would keep them running.
