99% of every query on this group has been asked before. Every once in a while one of those questions get an intelligent answer.
My thought on the air tabs are that they would have to be very VERY efficient to allow me to put them on my RV. They just look funny. Personal choice.
There was indeed a thread about airtabs and other streamlining devices that eluded to a truckers use of them that was extremely informative.
I found this article by Cummin's to be very informative and shows the relative effect on trucks (simular to an RV I would assume)and this may help you decide if airtabs are our could be a good investment. Cummin's Secrets to MPG

When looking at the Cummins stuff bear in mind that a typical Class A MH will have lower aero drag than a semi with full aero reductions (semis are HORRIBLE for aero drag). So aero drag is somewhat less important for your coach than for a semi. of course, you're running less weight as well so weight causes less power requirement also.

I've responded to this question several times. Yes they do work, yes they look kind of odd.

Under 1 mpg improvement and a noticeable increase in stability. Can I prove it? No, all I can do is compare several similar long trips. Would I do it again? Yes.

On this last trip driving 65-62 and towing a C-RV our avg mpg per tank was 10.5, 10.5, 9.5, 9.5 and 10.4. I'm happy.
