If one has a digital TV currently receiving its signal through the usual RV antenna, will it require the converter box next year?

NO if the TV is digital... in my area my digital TV is already receiving Digital Stations. I just got the box (converter) for my TV in the RV. Though my Mh is a 2008, Fleetwood chose to put a older analog set in the coach, now I need a converter. With out going in to the back of the TV through the cabinet I'll need a splitter and a A_B switch to use both - Analog and or Digital.
Happy Rving!

Not if you are receiving digital signal now. The converter is only for old analog tv's.
Lower all mast and antennas.

You said you have a DIGITAL tv.. If you have a DIGITAL TV you do NOT, repeat NOT need a converter.. It has one built in.
You only need a converter if your TV does NOT have digital ability.
NOTE: HDTV and DIGITAL are NOT the same thing.. Though MOST HDTV's (if not all) will be Digital.

Im also baffled about this.
I have an anolog set, and know that to use a converter box.
My confusion is how to hook it up.
As I said, I have an anolog set that is connected to a DVD/surround sound system.
Do I connect the converter between the incoming antenna cable and the dvd player?? or between the dvd player and the rv set?
Im hoping that the answer is between the incoming antenna cable and the dvd player.
Thanks in advance

I am assuming that the DVD Surround system is just a player, and the TV only gets a video connection from it, correct?
If that's the case, the converter box is between the antenna and the TV. The cheap couponed boxes will not output (true)5.1, but your Surround Sound most likely has positions to synthesize stereo pretty well. In that case you would need a stereo RCA-RCA jumper from the stereo out from the converter to the surround.
