Does anyone know of a beach that has daily parking for a 34' RV with access to a beach? In particular the Jersey Shore, around Ocean City.
Or at least a resource to contact that may know.
Thanks.

I don't even bring my F250 to the shore it's so tight. Don't know any beach in Jersey with Shore access that will park a 34 foot MH.

I hear seaside is charging 30 to park in spots now. Hence the reason I don't go to the Jersey shore anymore.

I haven't found a place in the North. We go to Myrtle Beach. I have spot booked 25' from the sand of the beach. Just walk across the dunes and your on the beach. Now we had to book in Dec to get that spot. For many years we went down there and I didn't want too close to the shore because of the wind and sand blowing. It's no different a couple hundred feet back. The talked us into the first spot a couple of years ago for one night. If we didn't like we could move back to the pull throughs and such. I would camp any place else and I've been going there for 30yrs. It's really nice being close. We use Pirateland Family Campground. It's south. There's not much up north now. Been going to Pirateland and no place else for many years. I live in the north but really don't care for the north beaches. Lot more room in the south.

take care,
Hank

North end of Assateague Island, just South of Ocean City has both a SP with hookups and a NP without.

This isn't exactly an answer to your post but maybe you would like to take a vacation in a nice warm place this winter. Near Corpus Christi, TX, is Mustang Island. Lots and lots of beach parking for $10 per night -or- if you would like some amenities, there are several RV parks just on the other side of the dunes with full hook-ups (for considerably more $$$ of course). If you decide to go, PM me for specifics.

RV parking is available at the Jersey shore in Stone Harbor. Take GSP exit #10 and go east 4 miles. As you enter town on 96th street, proceed east until you reach 1st Ave. Turn left and enter the RV parking area on your right. RV parking is available from 10AM until 9PM. There is a fee for parking here. Restaurants and shopping are a very short walk away.

Also at 121st street and the beach in Stone Harbor, there is plenty of free RV parking. Make sure you are gone by 9PM or so.

Steve,

You may want to contact Ocean City Chamber of Commerce. They list municipal parking lots on their map, but no mention of RV availability. Be mindful that Route 52 (Ninth Street) is under construction. You may want to opt to go further south, getting off in Marmora and then travelling to OC via 34th Street.

Another option is to visit a bit further north. Another poster stated Seaside Heights, and yes, private parking lots are charging high amounts. I cannot confirm it, but there was an older thread talking about a municipal lot at the south end of Seaside Park, just before Island Beach State Park with available RV and trailer parking.

Another option is to check out Island Beach State Park. $10 daily rate. Call first to see if parking is available.

LBI Trailer Park is on the island, one minute walk to beaches. You may want to call and inquire about a spot.

Good Luck,

Jeff
