Can anyone tell me what this highway is like? Is it paved, narrow, steep, anything else I should know? Driving a 34 ft class A with tow. Thanks.

Yes it is paved, and some pulls, and a couple of narrow sections, but they are short. Just watch out for log trucks, and when one is turning, even coming head on to you and making a right for them, DO NOT pass them as they have really long rear overhang, that will swing into your lane.

We drove it with our 35' 99 F53 V10 pulling a toad. It is a new highway north of Grand Cache in great shape. From Hinton to Grand Cache the highway is older and a little bit rougher but not that bad.

Last drove the road in 2006 it was good. The city of Grande Cache has a city run RV park that was nice.

Drove it the reverse way in June. GP to Grande Cache is good, but on to Hinton is one of the worst roads around. Narrow with no shoulders and in poor shape for most of it. Wouldn't drive it in the dark if I was you. But if you're careful you'll be fine.

Thanks again everyone......the drive was great. Spent the night in Grande Cache at the municipal campground and took the rougher stretch of road to Hinton easy with occasional slow-downs for deer along the way. Saved me a couple hundred miles worth of gas!
