Over the years, my DW and myself have been hospitalized several times each for various medical problems. But have been lucky enough to have Kaiser. And be admitted to various Kaiser Hospitals in Northern California that allow members to park and stay in there RVs in there parking lots, when a family member is hospitalized.
One hospital even had three long RV sites, with free full hook ups (power water and sewer) plus a place to walk your dog, and equipment to help clean up after them.
When you live over 100 mi from the hospital, being aloud to park a Motor Home there for a week is much better than staying in a motel, and the hassle of having a small pet in a motel.
Every Kaiser Hospital we have asked, has bent over to help us stay at there facility, and its much better than staying in a motel. You can visit almost anytime, eat at there calfateria if you like, and have your pet stay in your RV with you.
Thanks Kaiser Permanente Medical Centers, for your caring and consideration for your members with self contained RVs.

Good news like this can be rare. This is very good info. and gives me some ideas as well. Thanks for posting. Wishing you and your DW the best of health.
Great policy. Compassion for the patient and family. All concerned fair better when the family is nearby. It's really nice to have those hook-ups. Think the CEO rv's?
With so many people down talking Kaiser I am so happy to see a positive comment. We have been Kaiser users for over 30 years and not only have no complaints but many kudos.
I'll use my wife's pregnancy as an example. They were sterling from start to finish. From excellent prenatal care to following the pregnancy, to the actual birth. If we were late or missed something, we got phone calls and mail requesting contact.
The birth was in a special room (private w/full bath) and even though it took over 16 hours the staff was incredible. They explained everything, took great care of my wife, more than managed the pain, and followed through with the best possible care for my wife and baby (2 days in the hospital).
We have had many normal appointments for each of us and our Son, and emergency room visits, and couldn't have had a better experience.

St. Al's hospital in Boise, Idaho also has an RV park with full hookups. We've driven by and it has nice trees and nice individual sites. Very clean. Although it's on hospital property, it's way in the back but within easy walking distance.

Sutter Roseville Hospital allows RV parking, but they told me the parking site is now moved a couple blocks away. NOT GOOD for a wife walking back to the RV late at night.
We live close by so it is not a problem for us, but if you were coming down from Ft. Bragg, it would not be too good.
Reneeg, Im really glad to read your post, I wondered if there were other facilities that provide this great service, and thought there must be, but had never heard anyone talk about it. Now that its out in the open, maybe others may ask and find this is available to them. I do hope they never need it, but as you all know, you never know.(pun intended)
The three places that we have stayed at were all vary nice, large trees, and manicured lawns, with sprinklers that came on at 3 am every morning LOL.
But Ill take my MH, with my Shih-Tzu (small dog) and the hospital door a hundred yards away, to some motel any day.
Mike.
A bit about beautiful Idaho, every year it seams like, we head north in the fall, maybe its because my DW lived and went to school in Moscow Idaho, about a million years ago. But we do love to make a big loop up north often.
Dllfo, Kaiser Roseville was one of the hospitals I did stay in the parking lot at, my DW was a patent there for almost 3 weeks, for major surgery in 2002.

Good to hear some hospitals do this. We have again been at UCLA for two weeks now with our daughter and was here for 2 1/2 months at the beginning of the year. Wish we had a space here for our RV.

Have you asked them if they had someplace that you could stay in your RV?
I was never in Kaiser, but have many friends who are. National Jewish Hospital is the number one Respiratory Hospital in the USA for 11 straight years, but no RV help there.
Cherry Creek State Park was wonderful to us. Considering the KOA in Denver was something like $65 a night.
