Hi All: We will be taking a coast to coast trip in the 5er this fall and have heard about a cell phone booster antenna. Is there such a thing?, I'm sure some of the country we will be in will have a very weak signal and we want to stay connected with the grandkids and family. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance, Press

I bought a set-up from cell antenna and have been very happy with it.

My current phone does not have an antenna jack, and my next one will.

It still works ok with the velcro patch though.

We use a wilson antennae for both our cell phone and verizon air card, when needed, cheap and they work!

Heck, I was gonna say the last time I was in the woods with no signal at all I found a place next to a fence where I could make and get phone calls. But how do you carry around 5 miles of barbed wire ?? Apparantly the wire was just the right length to collect and reflect the signal. One foot in any direction and no signal at all. I've used that spot for the last 3 years when hunting and it is the only spot for miles. I was thinking I was gonna get rich selling a booster but you would need an extra trailer and a couple of weeks for the set-up.

Fun is that stuff that happens in between mistakes.
