Don't give out our secrets...it is getting harder and harder to get those late minute reservations. We really like Dakota Meadows and Hinkley with their paved sites and wireless amenities.
Never really noticed that they offered gambling too!

June 2007, we stayed a week at the Treasure Island resort in Redwing, while I was attending a US Navy reunion. The RV sites are all on a concrete tarmac. This was fine for us. The Casino was one of the best ones we have gambled in and we have gambled in quite a few. Just wish it wasn't 2,000 miles away from our house.

We just returned from an excursion to Minnesota and northern Iowa. Here are a couple blurbs about two MN casinos.
Today we moved to the Jackpot Junction casino near Morton,
Minnesota. Checked in their RV park (too hot for dry camping), very nice. Full hook-up including cable TV and a
good wi-fi signal, $20 but with a casino player's card it is only $15.
Jackpot Junction recognized Lucy Lucy's birthday and gave her
$5. It was senior day and we each got another $5. That covered our camping fee for the night. Couple food coupons and we ate on the cheap. Life was good, don't know why we left.
We moved up the road a few miles to the next Indian casino, Prairie's Edge. It is located just south of Granite Falls, MN, but kinda off the beaten path. In fact there is not many 'beaten paths' in this part of Minnesota at all. We had no cell phone coverage, no cable TV, but do have a good wi-fi connection. This place is nice -- only 3 years old -- but a bit pricey at $26 per night and no discounts. However, we did get cheap food. Today is 99 cent sandwich day and we got two large ham and turkey sandwiches on croissant rolls for two bucks. Also included a generous helping of fresh fruit. As you would expect the place was pretty
busy although we didn't have to wait. The waitress staff was overworked, underpaid, harried, and disgruntled. Bet they hated 99 cent sandwich day. They probably don't get much in tips, either, on a two dollar meal. Tomorrow is 99 cent breakfast day and we will be there along with lots of our fellow senior citizens. More disgruntling will abound.
