Yep, heading out Friday, August 1 after work with 3 friends. Figured we wouldn't be able to sleep that night anyways, so why not get a head start? We'll be staying at Lamphere Ranch campgound. Close to town, cheap, lots of shade, and you can get a decent night's sleep. Stayed there before, staying there again.

DW isn't going, so I'll be riding out and tent camping like in the old days, LOL. We're going to take the scenic route, thru Zion, Grand Tetons, and Yellowstone on the way there. Taking the long way home thru Glacier Nat'l Park, Washington, and Oregon.

Just spent Memorial Day week at Rafter J, great place to camp and would definately stay there again. Here's a couple of pics, mine's the Raptor and the other three rigs are relatives rigs.

We will be leaving Friday morning, August 1st. Staying one day at Yellowstone on the way. We are staying at the science camp in Rapid City. Then catch a baseball game in Denver on the way home. We will be riding the Harley. Hope for nice weather this year, but seems like there is always some rain.

Not this year. We went in '04, '05, '07, but decided to save the money this year. I've heard good things about Rafter J and looking forward to your critique. We've stayed at Glencoe twice (before the concerts), and last year stayed in Keystone.

Went for the one and only time in 2006 and stayed 15 days at Glencoe. Won't ever do that again. If I go back to Sturgis it will be before or after the big rally. Beautiful place to visit and ride the Harley but found that I am just too old to party that hard and enjoy it. Besides, after 15 days in Sturgis at the rally and nearly non-stop Harley's passing our campground all day and night I really didn't care to hear another Harley for about two solid months afterwards.

I want to leave this earth quietly in my sleep like my grandfather and not like the hysterical, screaming passengers riding in granddad's RV just before the big crash.

Campnfuls, I like your slogan, I had to smile after I woke up and realized what took place. haha I'll probably feel just like ya, next year. We're staying out a ways and only for 4 nights then on to Yellowstone. Ride Safe!!! Big G
