Before I left on current trip, all slides worked. Got to first campground and galley slide wouldn't go out. I determined that the slide motor is not getting power to it. I checked at the operating switch (inside coach) for galley slide has power coming into it. Have not been able to find any limit switches as I assumed there would be limit switches to stop movement after slide goes out and after slide comes all the way in.

I have since "hot wired" motor to get it to move in and out.

Wondering if anyone knows where the limit switches are or if there is something else I should check.

Thanks.

Did you check to see if power is coming OUT of the operating switch! If its hotwired and works...then its probably the switch itself.

There are usually 'safety' switches on the baggage doors under the slide such that slides will not operate if the doors are open. You might check for a faulty switch.

I can't find anything electrical having to do with the slide other than power coming into the motor. I've looked along the slide tracks for any limit switches and can't find anything.

Still looking.

What system do you have? If "POWER GEAR" system, you have control modules that contain a fuse and two relays(one "OPEN"relay & one "CLOSE"relay). Each slide will have its own control module.

I have found the electrical connectors to be a source of trouble.Reseating the connectors often restores operation.

The power gear system does not contain limit switches.

Have you checked all of the fuses? You said you had power to the switch, did you check to see if you had power going out of switch when it is activated? I don't know of any limit or safety switches.

Somewhere you ought to have a control box for each slide. Or a master control box for multiple slides...There are usually fuses or circuit breakers for the motor circuits... I think I would start with making sure that all the leads and connectors are making good contact... I have seen a few examples where slides refused to operate and after reseating the connectors it healed

If you have power Gear here is a link to one of their models..

slide motor is made by RBW industries.

Islander owner manual says there is a control box in the "forward compartment on copilot side". No idea what they mean by forward compartment but I've searched everywhere and found nothing.
